On The Fundy Trail
Sunday, August 12, 2001. There is a place along the Fundy Trail where you can walk down to a beach. It's called Melvin Beach, and it's a secluded (though stony) set of two beaches with a set of caves separating them. We start at the top, at one of the road side picnic areas, and then start down one of the multi-use trails. The tide was coming in at this point, but Jasmine had a lot of fun finding periwinkles and even some fingerling salmon. Along the top ridge of the stony "sand" bar we found some raspberry bushes. At first, David wouldn't eat one, but once he did he couldn't get enough. He was clearly saying "thank-you", a first for him!
